Packet loss is calculated as (sent − received) ÷ sent × 100%. Jitter uses the mean absolute difference between consecutive delay samples; population standard deviation is also shown.

General jitter categories are ≤10 ms excellent, ≤20 good, ≤30 fair, ≤50 poor, and above 50 very poor. Actual limits differ for voice, video, gaming, and SLA policies.
